Students have the opportunity to study and learn the French language in both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Key Stage 3
KS3 follows the National Curriculum. In Years 7 & 8 the pupils study the basics and more conversational French. In Year 9 (depending on prior study) pupils cover any missed basics and follow Year 9 curriculum French.
Key Stage 4
KS4 pupils study OCR GCSE French. This involves external exams at the end of Year 11 in reading, writing, speaking & listening. In some cases where pupils are only attending ACE for 1 year they may be able to be entered for the Short Course GCSE.
