French at ACE
Unfortunately ACE is currently unable to deliver French lessons as the teacher is on maternity leave.
Key Stage 3:
In Year 9 we study French in a variety of ways, looking at improving our basic skills in reading, writing and speaking and listening.
We try to learn through games and songs to make language learning fun.
The topics include real life such as describing people, places and food.
At KS3 we follow the STEPS programme which is assessed every term.
Key Stage 4:
AQA GCSE French
Pupils work on improving their skills and are assessed at the end of the year focussing on reading, writing and speaking and listening.
Topics include: ‘All about me’, ‘My town’, ‘Holidays’, ‘Schools’ and ‘Future plans’
The exam consists of four assessments in reading, writing, speaking and listening. Each is worth 25%.
