Progress

How Will I Know What Progress My Child Is Making?

At the end of each teaching session the Home Tutor will discuss your child’s progress and any homework to be completed.

Aspects of your child’s progress may also be discussed during a ‘Team around the Child’ review, organized at the discretion of the Home Tuition Service. These are normally planned for children requiring a more lengthy period of Home Tuition.

Can Pupils In Key Stage 4 Follow Examination Courses?

As far as possible, provision is made for pupils in K.S.4 to follow a limited number of external examination courses which may include Maths and English at Entry Level and at G.C.S.E. level.

Where Will Pupils Sit Their External Examinations?

Pupils can sit their external exams either on the Alder Hey site or on the Sandfield Park site and do not need to go into their home school. This helps to alleviate any unnecessary anxiety.
