Sandfield Park School serves the needs of young people with a wide range of physical, medical, emotional and learning difficulties either in the main School setting, in Alder Hey Hospital or through Home Tuition.

Hospital Teaching Areas

Wards

Patients are taught at the bedside on a one to one basis. The length of teaching session will vary depending on the age, ability level, and medical needs of each child


Oncology Unit Classroom Base and Ward

Oncology patients attend the classroom and/or are taught at the bedside depending on their medical conditions.


The Neurological Rehabilitation Education and Assessment Unit.

Patients are referred by the Head Injury Team or Consultant Neurologist and a timetable is planned for them to attend the Unit classroom.


The Dewi Jones Unit

Children on the Unit attend the classroom on a daily basis to take part in an integrated education and life-skills curriculum
