The Bridge is the Section 19 Medical Needs Education’s provision for Primary, Year 7 and  Year 8 pupils in Liverpool. We are based at Ronald McDonald House off Alder Road. We are a temporary placement which aims to bridge the gap from pupils starting to attend a classroom setting to returning to a mainstream or SEND provision.

We are a small setting which welcomes up to 16 pupils each day split by Key Stage into 2 classes. Pupils attend for five half days a week, ensuring a consistent and supportive learning environment. Pupils attend 3 lessons each day and timetables can be adjusted to meet individual need.

Our Curriculum in Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 is based on The National Curriculum however it is designed in a dynamic and flexible way in order to meet the individual needs of every pupil.

We also value learning off site and outside of the classroom at The Bridge. Each class has an Enrichment session each week where we get to work on skills such as social skills, road safety, resilience, life skills, emotional literacy, communication and improving our wellbeing.
