Following the success of the 2015 Christmas Pantomime, "Aladdin", the 6th form decided they'd all caught the Drama bug and were keen to have another go! They settled on "The Wizard of Oz" as their end of year production, and set to rehearsing with gusto. Written and directed by the ever-patient Miss Reynolds, it was a resounding success. From the sets and costumes to musical and dance numbers - and the superb acting of course! - the productions go from strength to strength. Already, younger pupils are suggesting ideas for future plays and are looking forward to entering the 6th form so they can get involved. Congratulations to all the pupils who took part and won medals in the Merseyside School Athletics competition held at Wavertree Athletics Centre. Pupils enjoyed competing in a wide range of events including wheelchair slalom, javelin, shot put, discus throw, ramp ball, bean bag target, 60m, 100m, 200m, 400m sprints and the 4x100m relay. Congratulations to the football A-Team for winning the Merseyside SLD Football League. Click here for highlights. In celebration of the Yehudi Menuhin centenary, pupils attended the Live Music school concert and enjoyed listening to a variety of classical and modern songs played by the Meridiem Duo (Harp & Flute). Some pupils had the opportunity to take the lead and conduct their own musical pieces.
