Meet the SF2 Staff

Role : Class Teacher – Jenette Wilson

I support students in SF2 through a personalised, inclusive approach that helps every learner progress with confidence. My role focuses on developing core skills in Maths, English, and Functional Skills, while also leading programmes such as ASDAN and NHS Cadets to broaden students’ experiences beyond the classroom. As Assessment Lead, I ensure that progress is monitored carefully and that each student receives the right level of challenge and support. As Reading Coordinator, I promote a strong reading culture across Sandfield Park, helping students build essential literacy skills that support their wider learning and future pathways.

Role: Learning Support Assistant- Lisa Wilson

Lisa provides tailored support to students in SF2, helping them develop confidence, independence, and the skills they need to succeed in 6th Form. She works closely with teachers to adapt learning, reinforce key concepts, and ensure every pupil can access the curriculum. Her role includes offering pupil support, promoting positive learning habits, and helping students manage their workload and wellbeing. Lisa is a calm, reliable presence in the classroom, contributing to a supportive environment where students feel encouraged, understood, and ready to achieve their best.

Role: Learning Support Assistant – Stephen Pettit

Stephen plays a key role in supporting students in SF2, bringing warmth, patience, and a natural ability to connect with young people. He works closely with teachers to personalise learning, adapt activities, and ensure every pupil can access the curriculum confidently. Stephen is skilled at building strong, trusting relationships, which helps students feel understood, motivated, and ready to engage. Through one‑to‑one support, classroom assistance, and positive encouragement, he helps learners develop independence, resilience, and a sense of belonging within the 6th Form.

Role: Learning Support Assistant – Jan Rogerson

Jan supports SF2 two days a week, bringing the same warmth, patience, and student‑centered approach that defines the wider team. She works closely with pupils in Art and Design Technology, helping them access creative tasks, develop practical skills, and build confidence in their own ideas. Jan is skilled at forming positive, trusting relationships, which allows her to personalise support and encourage students to take pride in their work. For the rest of the week, she continues this creative focus within the Enterprise provision, guiding pupils through art and design projects that develop independence, teamwork, and real‑world skills. Her calm, nurturing presence makes her a valued part of the 6th Form community.
