Welcome to SF3!
As a class group we are mostly working towards Pre- Entry Level- Entry Level 2 in Functional Skills Qualifications in English and Maths as well as several ASDAN Towards Independence qualifications such as Developing Numeracy Skills, Developing Communication Skills, Using Leisure Time and Independent Living. Pupils also have the opportunity to participate in Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Bronze and Silver Award, with the hope of progressing further in the future. The Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions progress each year. DofE enables pupils to build upon their skills and knowledge in a variety of areas such as volunteering, skills, physical skills and expedition skills.
As part of our curriculum, pupils have the opportunity to develop their employability skills and gain experience in the world of work through a supported internship programme and through volunteering at our Sandy Park Cafe, located a short walk from school. We currently have some pupils on supported internships at the Delta Marriot Hotel and Lister Steps.
