Key Stage 4 At KS4, pupils may be entered for the following courses:
GCSE – formal examinations at the end of the course in May/June, 3 papers (2 calculator, 1 non-calculator) and 90 mins each. Pupils who are working below GCSE level may be entered for Functional Skills Level 1 or 2 and achieve equivalent GCSE grades. Pupils working below Functional Skills Level 1 will be entered for Entry Level Certificate. Entry Level Certificate – no formal external examination at the end of the course, internally assessed during June and 2 separate assessments (stage test and task). |
